High-Five for me!!

So I am officially down to 133.5 pounds! That alone deserves a high five for me! But there's a better accomplishment, a physical show for the 10 pounds Ive lost. Two Christmas' ago I got a gorgeous pair of size 28 JCrew dark rinse Matchstick jeans. I LOVE them but unfortunately have only worn them about 5 times because they were just a bit too small. Regardless I would squish my fat ass into them anyway. About 8-9 months ago they definitely did NOT fit. There was no closing this jeans. About 3 months ago I could close them but they were tight and HELLO muffintop! Not very attractive. And today I am proudly wearing them, not too tight, no muffintop and no sagging like my trusty everyday jeans have been doing. On top of that with this cool fall weather, I'm rocking my Ariat cowboy boots and a skinny scarf. So high-five for me, wearing the skinny jeans!!

Well I Survived

Realistically losing 10 pounds for the wedding wasn't really going to happen. But getting down to 134 was a great accomplishment. And lucky me I only gained back 2 pounds!! All that eating and drinking all weekend, (Big Mac included) I only gained back to 2 pounds! I'm so happy! I think starting off and ending my weekend with a very long walk, (to the tune of about 3 miles), lugging my bags across campus kinda helped. So YAY ME! So far I've slept most of the week other than when Ive been at work, but today is time for some Yoga! Lets see how well I do a keeping with the workouts and smart food choices. Anyway, since I started this blog I have lost about 10 pounds. I only have 15 more to go till I get to my goal weight.

Some very real Inspiration.

Holy cow. I am watching the Biggest Loser Season 8 Premier. This is the biggest and by biggest I mean heaviest group of people they have ever had. That's scary. As an American, its very scary and it shows there is something fundamentally wrong with our physicality and eating habits. I started off this blog at the beginning of this summer because I watched the season finale of Season 7. That kicked off my inspiration to really kick up my work out and with me not going to the gym frequently enough in the past few weeks, the season premier was a much needed kick in the ass. I am far from being as heavy as those people but if they can do all of that, work out as hard as they do, then I can too. There is no reason why I shouldn't be able to. These people have deep seated problems, emotional issues and terrible histories. All in all, threes a lot of baggage there in that gym with them. I don't have anywhere near the problems or baggage they do so there, that alone is some inspiration. These poor people are so heavy, I need to get into better shape and good fitness goals and keep with my activities because I never want to look like that. Ever.

Keeping on Track

This keeping on track stuff is hard, especially when birthdays and flaky gym partners are involved. Over the past week I have consumed more than my fair share of rich, delicious food, fried food, sweets and cupcakes. On top of that I probably haven't been to the gym in about 3-4 weeks. Ouch I know. However, previous to the whole birthday week celebration, I did very good at curbing my food intake, not to an unhealthy level but enough that my daily activities burned more calories than I consumed. Yay! With that being said, I had a training session with Julie last night. Boy did she kick our asses for not coming to see her for such a long time. However, we did measure and weigh. On the gym scale I lost 5lbs from teh start, my over all inches were down, I went down 2% on the body fat scale and my BMI went down 2.5 points! YAY ME! So with all that said and after last nights workout I did my daily weigh in. Here it goes.

Weight: 135.5 pounds
Goal: 130 pounds
To Go: 5.5 pounds

So I realize that I wont make my goal of 10 pounds but I also kind of realize that was a bit unrealistic, but if I keep on track I can lose 10 pounds by the end of the next 4 weeks. I leave on Saturday morning to go to the wedding so I still have a few more days to lose another pound or two. I do plan on attending Pilate's on Wednesday and yoga on Thursday. Wish me luck!

Ehhh...

Thats about all Ill give myself is an ehh... I haven't been working out.. booo. But with all the craziness in my life over the past week and continuing into this weekend, I must say I've been doing a good job monitoring my food intake and not over eating and doing better with portion control. This heat has been unbelievable but today was the first cool day in about 10 days. I am proud of myself because my weight has not skyrocketed with all the trips, alcohol and the BF's mom's home cookin!

So not all so bad. My new goal is to significantly cut my carb intake. As much as I'm doing good eating complex carbs and whole grains, I'm still eating too much of it. Im hoping that with this addition Ill be able to drop the 10 pounds by the wedding!!

Weight: 140 lbs (half-dressed, end of day)
Goal:130
To Go: 10 pounds

So Far So Good

So we totally ROCKED our softball game last night, however since it was the All Star game there were a lot of players I only got to play 3 innings, not much of a workout. However I did get some running in. So todays run down on the food. No eggs like I wanted... Roomie issues... so I bought some today to I can have some tomorrow. Anyway, back to the food. Honey Wheat + Fiber english muffin with some cappy ham and cheese (not the healthiest but its what I had on hand) for breakfast, strawberry mini wheats and one of those rocking FiberOne bars for snacks/lunch and chicken quesadilla for dinner with some whole grain rice with veggies mixed in. Not too bad. If I go for dessert its gonna be a frozen fruit bar... Yummy!

Working out this week hasn't been great since we are having some extreme heat and then they BF is coming home this weekend (YAYYY!!!) so Ill be spending all that time with him.
